Happy Birthday and Mr. Beast

I sometimes watch Mr. Beast videos with my students. They are such fun, crazy things to watch but give us something new to talk about. They are also clean! I watched one today that made me think about my life. In my life, if I were to look back 10 years ago, I would have so much happening! I would have a husband of almost 17 1/2 years and children ages 12, 10, 8, 5, and 4. We would be in the midst of homeschooling 3 of them. It would have been Sully's first year of kindergarten. So much would be going on. Now, fast-forward 10 years, obviously the ages and marriage date are 10 years older. But, my life is much different. I have three young adult children and two teens. The three young adults are all working and one is married with a baby on the way!

I was just talking with one of my students, and we were thinking about our lives and YouTube. I told her that if we keep it in check, it is okay to watch. Then she mentioned how she had heard about depression at a young age, and she thought that it was something that you can control. She said now she realizes that is not always the case. I told her that sometimes we cannot control everything in our lives, but we can have a peace, a peace that Jesus brings. I told her that all of us need a thread in our lives that is always there. A thread that we focus on and always have in our lives. Sometimes that thread can get knotted up. Sometimes it gets too tight or too loose. But that thread is there and is constant. We must have that in our lives. For me, that thread is my walk with God. Everything else has to be woven in, but that thread must remain. It is like that tapestry that you see being woven. God must be that thread that is throughout our tapestry, making a beautiful, complete picture.
I just feel so blessed today. God has given me another year of life. How precious that is! So many of you are walking in a valley right now and may not be able to see your way out. But hold onto that thread and know that you will get through this. It may be like a thorn, you know, like Paul said. But we can praise God with our thorns in our sides. Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, He is with us.
I don't know what is happening in your life, but if you don't know peace, it is possible that you don't have that thread in your life yet. Come to know Jesus! He loves you SO much! He is such a magnificent Saviour! He will meet you where you are. Don't wait any longer <3. Just call out His name and ask Him to forgive you and come into your heart. Find a church and become faithful to it! You will never be sorry!
So, now that I have posted a lengthy post, if you have a few minutes, watch this Mr. Beast video! I think it will make you think and inspire you!
And be sure that you keep that thread in your life! Oh, how He loves us! <3

Love, hugs, and blessings!
Chandra
